Junior Racing Program

The Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club (PGRC) offers a Junior Racing Program that runs from the beginning of September to the end of November each year. The Junior Racing Program is a PGRC club sculling program open
to experienced girls ages 15 to 18 years old.

Juniors must comply with all safety directives and demonstrate responsible and safe handling of equipment. Club access is permitted only with a coach present.

Training

Practices are held at PGRC five times a week, Monday—Friday, from 4—6 p.m.

  • Kings Head Regatta, Schuylkill River, Bridgeport, PA

  • Navy Day Regatta, Philadelphia, PA

  • Head of the Charles, Cambridge, MA

  • Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, Philadelphia, PA

  • Braxton Regatta, Cooper River, Camden, NJ

Fees

The Junior Racing Program costs $950, which includes coaching and race entry fees.

Items not covered by fees

Transportation to and from the club is not provided by Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club.

Races will require additional costs to cover transportation, meals, and/or housing. These are not covered by the program fees.
