Donate

The Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club has 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. You may choose to donate to one or more of the following:

  1. General Funds. The Philadelphia Girls' Rowing Club has ongoing needs. We are proud of our state-of-the-art fleet, which needs to be maintained and turned over on a regular basis. Our members receive the best training on Boathouse Row, with the expenses that good training requires. We are self-governed and maintain the building and all equipment.

  2. Preservation Campaign. Our Preservation Campaign, Shore Her Up, is dedicated to ensuring that our historic building remains in good quality.

  3. Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta. PGRC runs the annual Braxton Regatta on the second Sunday of November every year. Proceeds go toward two high school scholarships awarded each year. Please visit the Braxton website for more information on student scholarships.

  4. Annual Fund. The annual fund pays for specific wish or necessity decided by the voting membership.

Legacy

Many people also choose to include their charitable interests in their long range financial planning. The will is one of the most popular vehicles for making long range gifts. Countless gifts, small or large, are arranged by people of all means, in all walks of life. You might consider including a charitable gift in your will or other estate plans. More information is available upon request, in confidence, and with no obligation. Please email Sophie Socha at ssocha@rockhillworks.com or call (610) 667-7431 to arrange a legacy gift.

The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act continues to provide you with flexibility to make charitable and legacy gifts that meet your personal and financial goals. To include the Philadelphia Girls’ Rowing Club in your will or trust, instruct your attorney to prepare a codicil.
